The British MEPs proBrexit participated in the opening of the Strasbourg session on Tuesday. They returned as the Union anthem played in the background.
The 29 British MEPs were present behind the room, while Ode to Joy - the official EU anthem - was the opening session.

Antonio Tajan, the President-in-Office of the Parliament, asked his colleagues earlier to stand in "respect" for the quartet who sang the anthem. However, with a defiant attitude, Brexit party leader Nigel Farage and MEPs in the party, they turned to the wall.
Farage said he refused to show "the respect for the foreign hymns that were forced upon us." He added, "We did what we were told and stayed in the room, but we turned our backs."
